Sarah Palin has been known to wrap herself in the American flag, but desecrate it? Never! However, she did just that during a campaign swing in Reno, Nevada.
As she was being interviewed by The Guardian, fans handed Palin several things to sign. One of them was a flag, onto which she put her John Hancock. Well, that is against the U.S. Flag Code:
"Subsection 8, part (g): 'The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature'."
Palin signs the flag at the 1:30 mark:
